The Honda Passport stands out from the automaker’s crossover SUV lineup by being specifically set up from the jump to go off-road. For the new model year, the performance specs for the 2021 Honda Passport will keep the platform in a strong place among its contemporary rivals. The 2021 Passport is entering its third year of production since being introduced to the automaker’s roster for the 2019 model year. Meridian Honda customers will be able to choose among four 2021 Passport trim grades, Sport, EX-L, Touring and Elite. For the new model year, the performance specs for the 2021 Honda Passport remain in line with what has been available in previous versions, there have also been a few other upgrades. 2021 Passport Engine Information
Every 2021 Honda Passport available at the Meridian Honda showroom will employ the same powertrain. A naturally aspirated 3.5-liter, V-6 engine will be under the hood of all trim grades, and all four models will use a nine-speed automatic transmission. Owners 2021 Honda Passport can expect the vehicle to make up to 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The Sport, EX-L and Touring models can be equipped with either front- or all-wheel-drive. Buyers choosing the top-of-the-line Elite trim grade will only have all-wheel-drive.
Honda has managed to preserve very competitive fuel economy scores for the 2021 Passport. Models with front-wheel-drive will be able to post 20 miles per gallon* in the city and 25 miles per gallon* on the highway. A 2021 Passport with all-wheel-drive can post 19 mpg* in the city and 24 mpg* on the highway.
Towing Capability for the 2021 Honda Passport
There isn’t much point in having all of this performance if an owner of the 2021 Passport can’t do what is asked of it. A 2021 Passport that is equipped with two-wheel-drive will be able to pull up to 3,500 pounds. Meridian Honda customers can choose 2021 Honda Passport models with all-wheel-drive and have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
