Performance Specs for the 2020 Honda CR-V
When we first heard about the changes and improvements made to the Honda CR-V for the 2020 model year, a lot of it was centered around the newly introduced hybrid model. However, Meridian Honda product experts have finally learned about the performance specs for the 2020 Honda CR-V and they were very happy with what they learned. One of the major changes the manufacturer has made to its popular crossover SUV platform is the standardization of its powertrain options. All four trims of the 2020 CR-V (LX, EX, EX-L and Touring) use the same power plant and transmission, which offers a strong balance of performance and fuel economy. Let’s take a closer look at what the new CR-V will bring to its owners.

2020 Honda CR-V powertrain equipment
Under the hood of the entire 2020 Honda CR-V lineup is a turbocharged 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to a continuously variable transmission. It will produce 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. All four trim grades can be equipped with either front- or all-wheel-drive. Additionally, all 2020 Honda CR-V models coming to the Meridian Honda showroom will be able to 1,500 pounds.
Versions of the 2020 Honda CR-V with two-wheel-drive will be able to record 28 miles per gallon* in the city and 34 miles per gallon* on the highway. Buyers opting for all-wheel-drive models of the 2020 CR-V are reported to record up to 27 miles per gallon* in the city and 32 miles per gallon* on the highway.
How much room does it have?
Something that has not, and likely will not change for the Honda CR-V family of crossover SUVs is its incredibly spacious interior. Every available model will have two rows of seats and a maximum seating capacity of five passengers. When people are sitting in the back seat, there is still 39.2 cubic-feet of cargo volume to haul items. Folding those rear seats down will easily expand the vehicle’s cargo capacity to 75.8 cubic-feet.
