All three trim grades of the 2020 Honda Insight will use the same powertrain. Under the hood of the Honda hybrid sedan is a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be attached to an electronically-continuously variable transmission. The gasoline-powered four-cylinder engine will be attached to an AC synchronous permanent-magnet electric motor. This will give the 2020 Honda Insight a total system output of 151.5 horsepower*.
The LX and EX versions of the 2020 Insight have Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy scores of 55 miles per gallon** in the city and 49 miles per gallon** on the highway. Meridian Honda customers choosing the top-of-the-line Touring trim grade will record 51 miles per gallon** in the city and 45 miles per gallon** on the highway.
Honda engineers have also made the Honda Sensing® standard equipment on all three trim grades of its new hybrid sedan. This will include Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System and Road Departure Mitigation System. EX and Touring versions of the 2020 Honda Insight will have an infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.
