Take-Out Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving near Meridian, MS
One of our favorite holidays of the year is only a couple of weeks way. Thanksgiving 2020 is probably going to need to be a little different than in previous years because of COVID-19. As of right now, there are no city ordinances or state-wide executive orders from the governor that limit private gatherings. However, the Centers for Disease Control suggest that celebrations be contained to only those who live in the same house and extended family and friends visit one another virtually. If things are going to change this much, it might be easy to consider take-out restaurants open on Thanksgiving near Meridian, MS. Our team did a little digging to what options are available, but you will want to call ahead to verify. Let’s see what they found. (more…)

What happens if you skip an oil change?
Most of the driving public has been taught the 3,000-mile rule when it comes to getting a vehicle’s oil changed. However, did you know that advances in automotive and motor oil technology have made that figure fairly obsolete? Some vehicles can go between 5,000 and 10,000 miles before they need to bring it in for scheduled maintenance. It’s important to note that you should ALWAYS follow the service recommendations laid out in your car, truck or SUV’s owner’s manual. But have you ever wondered, ‘What happens if you skip an oil change?’ Take it from us, the longer you put it off, the worse the damage will be. Take a look at these videos for an even better look. If you get scared into scheduling an appointment with us, give the Meridian Honda Service Department a call today. (more…)

What is an OBD2 port used for?
When it comes to owning an automobile, there are few more empty and terrifying feelings than hearing an out of place sound or noticing a leak under the vehicle. Also, when someone takes their vehicle in for repairs, the fear of how much it will cost to fix can be just short of paralyzing. If you’re the do-it-yourself type, you might be able to diagnose and repair some things at home. So, what is an OBD2 port used for and how does it work? Basically, it’s a tool that all repair shops use to figure out what’s wrong with a vehicle. However, it’s important to point out that modern cars, trucks and SUVs are exponentially more complex than previous versions; and it’s easy to get in over your head. What is the difference between a sunroof and a moonroof?
Automobiles have been around in one form or another for more than 100 years. In that time, passenger vehicle design has gone in cycles, starting with open top horseless carriages to large steel land yachts of the 1940s, 50s and 60s to the sleek and aerodynamically friendly models we see today. Car designers have always had to balance the joy people feel with the sun on their skin and the wind blowing through the cabin with keeping the same people dry, warm and safe. There was a better way the sunroof/moonroof. So, what is the difference between a sunroof and a moonroof? In modern automotive design language, there isn’t much of a difference and both are largely used interchangeably – depending on the automaker. However, that isn’t strictly correct. Let’s take a closer look. (more…)
