The Honda Civic family of vehicles is going through a lot of changes for the 2022 model year. We have already extensively covered what future Meridian Honda customers can expect to see when the latest Civic Sedan goes on sale. Today we are taking a closer look at the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback performance specs and features. Our manufacturing partner is producing the 2022 Civic Hatchback in four trim grades, LX, Sport, EX-L and Sport Touring. Honda is making two powertrains available, and the automaker has also expanded the number of the hatchback’s trim grades that will be compatible with today’s most popular smartphone applications. Let’s take a closer look at a few things you can expect to see when the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback goes on sale later this year.

2022 Civic Hatchback Engine Options
Meridian Honda customers who choose to take the LX or Sport versions of the 2022 Civic Hatchback home will have a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine under the hood, and it will be attached to a continuously variable transmission. It will make 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. The EX-L and Sport Touring employ a turbocharged 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine – also attached to a continuously variable transmission. These models of the 2022 Civic Hatchback will produce 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. Sport and Sport Touring versions of the vehicle are also equipped with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
Expanded Technology Options for the 2022 Civic Hatchback
When the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback goes on sale, all trim grades will be equipped with a full suite of Honda Sensing® safety systems. Additionally, each of the hatchback’s four versions will also offer access to the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites of applications. The LX, Sport and EX-L will use a 7-inch touchscreen and the top-of-the-line Sport Touring uses a 10.2-inch screen. Additionally, the Sport Touring model supports wireless connectivity for the Apple- and Android-based smartphone applications.
