The 2019 Insight features a sleek, sophisticated design with a low and wide stance. The sedan’s body is highlighted by Honda’s signature “flying wing” grille and bold fascia and low-profile LED headlights and taillights. Sharp, dynamic character lines and a sweeping coupe-like roofline complete the sedan’s striking exterior. With its long wheelbase platform, the 2019 Honda Insight will offer expanded passenger space.
The new Insight is also equipped with a host of premium features including an 8″ Display Audio capacitive touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7″ digital LCD driver’s meter, and available perforated leather seating.
Performance and Safety
The 2019 Insight is powered by the third generation of Honda’s two-motor hybrid system consisting of an advanced 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle engine, a lithium-ion battery pack, and a powerful electric propulsion motor. The Insight runs on electric power only, drawing energy from either the engine or battery pack.
The Insight will feature Honda’s latest safety systems, including Honda LaneWatch. On the EX trim and above, the Honda Sensing suite will come standard, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Departure Warning, the Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, and new Traffic Sign Recognition.
The 2019 Honda Insight will arrive at U.S. dealerships in late 2018.
